The Mirror Never Lies

Glanced over my right shoulder
Peered deep into two eyes
Dug deep into your soul
Found so much I despised

Looked intently at these actions
Committed in the past
No regret, no remorse
Shattered faces lie like shattered glass

Broken hearts lay on the ground
Looking at them and not caring
Still blood pumping...throwing life source all around
Love disregarded and feelings tearing

So bitter and so cold
Radiant light dare not shine through
Feared truth to unfold
Full of darkness, full of gloom

Love is lost and pain is gained
Obscure is the sun as it sets
Freezing cold, goose bumps occur
Sound of beating silenced in her chest

Stealing joy and snatching smiles
For a moment fantasizing
The sorrow the soul wished to beguile
For a moment fantasizing

Fake joy but real tears
Storms brewing and turning
Lost time, Lost years
Still the inner muscle is yearning

To hide, she falls behind a wall of many false faces
I looked into her eyes, her soul
Mind journeyed to many place and many phases

The mirrors reflection could tell no lies
How I wish I could look deep inside
And no longer will the truth reflected be despised
Love lost and pain gained
Feared truth unfolding
Thoughts of breaking free and walking forward
But
To the past I'm still holding...
The Mirror never lied
Reflecting the very truth I feared
